Couple of days ago, I completed the RHCSA exam in Mexico City, and just yesterday’s afternoon I have received acknowledgment of exam approval with 283 points out of 300. The exam has a duration of 2.5 hours, and you are expected to achieve at least 210 (70%) of 300 possible points. Every exam its different, but mine was just like 14 or 15 tasks to be completed on a live virtual RHEL 6 system. Some of the easiest questions were related to users, groups administration while the toughest were centralized Users and auto-mounts. Or course this reflects just my personal criteria.
If you are pursuing such certification, there’s a bunch of information, guides, blogs, books that you can look at. However my recommendation will be to stick to only one book, the official exam objectives, and your test machine with RHEL 6. In my case I used the book recommended by a friend: RHCSA and RHCE guide by Damian Tommasino. And a used old laptop with the lab described on the book completed.
